Build a useful fish log
Record the island, approximate location, time or conditions if relevant, acquisition method, ordinary or rare appearance, quest association and whether the catch was sold. A screenshot of the fish and surrounding landmark is more useful than an unsupported name copied from memory.
Sell-or-keep decision
- If the fish appears ordinary and repeatable, selling supports the verified progression economy.
- If its color, size, name or presentation looks unusual, pause and inspect collection or quest information.
- If a quest requests the species, prioritize the quest before an ordinary sale.
- If the variant is already recorded and has no current use, compare its value with your next purchase.
Why this page does not publish a fake complete list
The official store confirms different fish and rare variants but does not expose a complete species table with locations and values. Filling those columns without direct released-game evidence would mislead players. The page instead provides a repeatable documentation method and will add confirmed entries as they are observed.
Collection session checklist
- Choose one island or area rather than searching everywhere at once.
- Keep enough funds for normal progression.
- Take before-and-after screenshots for a suspected rare catch.
- Note the equipment used without assuming it is the only valid method.
- Save before selling a one-off discovery.
